Cannot send Open Office doc via email

Saved as doc. Opened it. Selected "Send to email recipient." Got the clanging red "X" with the same message as before.

What did I do wrong?

From your regedit shot it seems setting wlm to default didn't take, it should show

Got to control panel > default programs >Set default programs > click on windows live mail > then click choose defaults for this program.

Does it look like this

Uh oh! What did I miss? I was working from memory -- always a bad idea!

I think I may have accidentally figured how to do this as a PDF. I have to remember to use "Export" instead of "Send." I don't understand the difference between the two, but it doesn't matter if I can just think straight.

I think your settings for default mail are not working. If you review the thread form the start, my registry pics and yours are different. If export works for you that's good. I just want to help you get everything right.

I'm trying to figure out if it's the mail settings or open office causing the problem.

Dude -- Here's my situation: I have to leave town tomorrow to go be with my elderly father for about a week. I'd like to figure out what's wrong with the settings, too, but I'm out of time at this point. Should I just try to resurrect this thread when I get home?
