Hi,
yesterday I've turned off my computer after a few days without a restart, everything worked great.
my windows is in Hebrew so I think some of the translated errors are translated wrong.
I use Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
when the computer starts I can see the network Icon "refreshing" and after a few seconds there's a "X" icon on it. when I click on "Solve Problems \ Troubleshoot problems" it says
"Windows Couldn't automatically detect the Settings of - detected network proxy (this part is mistranslated I think, I don't have any proxy, maybe they meant router"
The computer has a network cable plugged into it straight from the router (I've checked the connection and cable with my laptop and it works great)
my system doesn't installs updates automatically, I'm installing them after reviewing the updates.
on the 22.4.11 I've installed 3 updates
1. KB2454826
2. Windows Internet Explorer 9
3. Internet Explorer 9 he-IL language Pack
I've tried
ipconfig /release
which gave me as output -
"Windows IP Configuration
and then (when knowing it will not do anything) ipconfig /renew and got the same output.
ipconfig /all gives -
Windows IP Configuration
Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . :
Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid
IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No
WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No
I've also run the command -
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
output -
Reseting Global, OK!
Resteting Interface, OK!
Restart the computer to complete this action (did it)
when tried to run the command again I get -
There's no user specified setting to be reset.
I also made my network card as unavailable and then made it available again.
when I tried system restore, I got an error "Object Not Found (0x80042308)"
I googled for that problem and tried to do chkdsk /f, restarted my computer and then tried again, got the same error.
So I can't do System Restore too.
what do you suggest now?
linux live cd?
Thanks!
