Can't copy/paste in windows 7

right click on a file and click "copy". right click somewhere else and click "paste".

it just happens when i want to copy and paste from anywhere. when i want to copy to word, notepad or wordpad nothing happens. and no, i don't get any error messages.

You might see if doing a system restore using a restore point (if availble) dated before this started may be able fix it for you.
