hi guys! i got this weird problem. i just bought this new computer and every part of it seems to work like it should (atleast so i belive) and everything is starting nicely and everything is found in bios.
however when i try to install windows 7 x64 and when i come to the part where i have to choose which driver to install my windows 7 on, it cant find any driver.
i have no clue whats causing this and im very much in need of some help.

I assume you mean HD (drive). when you start to install win 7 and get to the section for where to put it what does it say below the empty window where the drives should be?

Any answer or solution to this problem by now?
I'm trying to install windows 7 32bit from a "family pack" upgrade disk (home premium) that I bought like a few hours ago. The disk definitely isn't scratched or dirty.
I have a similar problem, that is, when I get to the part where I am supposed to find the drive to install it on (in this case my /C drive) it shows nothing (the list of drives is empty).

I bought this computer used and have been using a non genuine version of windows 7 (32bit professional)(so I know the computer is able to run windows 7) but I have been having some troubles with that (randomly restarting) so I decided to install a genuine copy of windows 7.

Current specs:

Non-genuine version of windows 7 (32bit professional)

AMD Athlon(tm) II x2 240 processor (2.8 ghz)

4gb RAM

Any help would really be appreciated

Make sure you have the latest BIOS version Update. If so, reset the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

Set SATA controller in BIOS setup to AHCI mode first, then IDE if neccessary.

Next wipe the HD of all code to get the cleanest possible slate: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/91339-ssd-hdd-optimize-windows-reinstallation.html

Boot installer to do Custom install. If no drive shows, back out and pre-partition NTFS Primary 100gb target partition which you Modify>Set to Active using free Partition Wizard bootable CD: Free Download Magic Partition Manager Software - Partition Wizard Online

If this fails, at Load Drivers link provide the SATA controller driver from the chipset downloaded from the Support Downloads webpage for your model computer or mobo.
