Can't get Public Network to change to Home Network!

Doing a clean install my friend and I would advise anyone to stear well clear of windows 10. It's a mess and you can't use Chrome, and I bet there's a lot of other things you can't do either. It's as slow as treacle compared to windows 7

Well I know for sure it's Microsoft that's at fault. Probably doing it so everyone goes to windows 10. Where it works fine. But 10 is a mess, ever since XP the only good operating system they have made is Windows 7. I doubt I will buy another windows computer. As they can't even make a great OS. 10 will definitely flop utter crap!!! Rant over

Sorry but I don't see where you actually described your network very well here ?
Is at least 1 computer wired to the modem and wireless router ?

How many wired and how many wireless devices ?

Can I assume all of these wireless devices at one point had to enter a network password manually to access this wireless network ?

Pretty weird stuff,
Wi-Fi Sense FAQ - Windows Help

Even odder for you since you never had win-10 installed only the windows updates in windows 7
Then you later upgraded and still had the same issue
Did you do a custom install or the express install in win-10 ?

I've read it's listed in the custom install that you can turn it off but not in express :/
"_optout_" is weird too :/

I didn't do custom install with 10, because I seen a video on YouTube, that the guy couldn't get 10 to activate. So I did an upgrade as it was only a couple of weeks before I installed Windows 7. But I had no problems with 10 on the Ethernet cable. It was just 10, I had the problem with. Oh, it's as slow as treacle and looks horrible. So I then did a clean install of 7 - Thinking that was it solved. It worked fine until I restarted the computer. Then that was me back to public network no Internet connection. I even had a guy out from my isp, and he didn't have a clue what was causing it as my house phone was not working. But before you say it lol. My house phone and Internet are different connections. I am only left with it being Microsoft glitch. As I can't think of anything else. It happened on the day it was released. 10 was fine with the Ethernet cable, I restarted, a few times, to see if 10 would give me the same problem. I worked out a way to get it to work. But I have to do everytime I start the computer. I install Marvel Yukon Ethernet controller driver even though all my drivers are fine and it gets treated as a home Network. Sometimes I plug the Ethernet cable in without installing it and it works for a wee while. But then goes public again. I guess I will have to wait for an update to fix the issue.
