Solved Can't install Battlefield 3, DirectX Setup error: An internal error oc

I am trying to install Battlefield 3 and I get a "DirectX Setup error: An internal error occurred." I tried using DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer and I get a second error "An internal system error occurred. Please refer to DXError.log and DirecX.log in your Windows folder to determine problem." I can't seem to figure it out, so I am hoping some of you smart folks out there can help me out. My system exceeds the recommended requirements for the game.

Win 7 64bit Ultimate SP1
i7 2600K cpu
16 Gb memory
ASUS GTX 570 graphics card (just updated drivers)

Perhaps the DX setup file in the gamedir is damaged. Did you try downloading a new installer from Microsoft?

Found out its possibly a game issue. Working on the EA forums now. Thanks for your help.

Same problem here, but found solution. I don't know when you're getting the error.
Here the installation reached 100% and then gave the error.

As you get the error: Just remove the dvd and click on install again.
This worked for me.
It probably downloads the dx files from the internet that way.
