Can't install TinyWall

I get this " Configuration data of the product are damaged, contact the support team" message when double-clicking on the installer. I don't know what I did actually to make it happen, I have probably messed too much with the register and made huge mistake. After clicking OK, the installer closes.

The program is TinyWall and it doesn't even let me install older versions because it says the program is already installed but it isn't, it doesn't appear neither in my installed programs list, neither on the disk or other 3rd party uninstallers (like CC cleaner, etc...). Newer versions either show this same message or they tell me they're for Win10 so they can't be installed. It worked fine for a long while (beside not being shown as tray icon as it should had sometimes).

So, how to delete any trace of it from the system so it recognizes is as if never installed? Of course the installer is ok, I don't even know why MS Installer sees it as corrupted. It's the only program I know showing this issue.

Thank you, I've actually downloaded the installers from the official site of the developer and, as explained in the first post, they don't work for the reasons given above. As I've said in the post, it's a matter of registry which I unfortunely have damaged to the point Windows Installer "views" Tinywall installer as corrupted, all versions of the Win7-compatible installers give me the same pop-up as in the first post.
Windows Firewall was activated, but I don't think that was the problem because the problem is in Windows Installer, that would probably needs to be fixed in the register, as explained in the first post.

Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
chkdsk c: /f
It will say your disk is in use and ask if you want to schedule to next start = yes
Restart
Pay attention on the results, specially bad blocks, bad clusters, bad sectors etc

Back to Windows, open a CMD window as administrator and type:
sfc /scannow

If it finds any corrupted files, fixing or not, reboot and run again

It says some files weren't unable to restore and it gave a CBS.log that has this only part that seems interesting to the cause (the only part that's about something that could not be repaired) :

I was trying to send the "basebrd.dll" but my Win 7 is English and yours is probably Italian.

Do you have the Win 7 SP1 installation disk or Win 7 SP1 iso?

Yes, but that dll file cannot be found, maybe it's in some archive?

I meant an archive file from the disc / ISO, archive.org the site has something but I doubt that's it (at least not the official italian version).
I was looking for 3rd party installers, but couldn't find one (they're all about the reverse thing, how to make an installer) for free.
Not even this guide worked.
Honestly, I think it's something about the registry, because the system still sees the program as installed... but it's nowhere, probably just a trace of it remained in the registry but all the rest is missing so the system gets confused about it and goes derp.
Maybe if somebody could upload the raw files of the program, to see what happens if I run the un-installer.

You can extract the C:\Windows\Branding\Basebrd from the one of the 4 images images on the disk.

Why don't you do a Repair install .
A repair install will reinstall Windows keeping your data and programs.
- It's always recommended to make a drive image as a backup
- As it is an install it will request the Win 7 ultimate license key. You can retrieve the key from the current installation using LicenseCrawler

Thanks, I think I'll try that when I'll have the time (and guts), at the moment I don't want to mess further with it all for just one program that doesn't install, I may just switch to another free firewall (there are plenty actually which do the job pretty well, I just liked TinyWall for how simple it was). Didn't know about licensecrawler, must try that.

it still gives me this with both versions for Win7 (it says "configuration data of the product are damaged, contact tech support".
as I said, I remember I messed with the registry so I think there's some corruption in there I can't fix
I've found another decent firewall anyway, so it's no big problem, just a nice tool I kinda miss. thank you anyway for all the concern

I don't know neither, I just hope they'll release a portable version, hoping the problem is just on the way my system manages installs.
