Hello,

I got a new Lenovo PC and installed Windows 7 Ultimate. I have installed all drivers too. All goes smoothly. But when I try to connect my pen drive and move some of files to the pen drive, it says, I don't have sufficient permissions for that. Then I have logged in to the Administrator account and tried. Still having same problem. I can get access to all files was in the Pen Drive. But it not allow me to Paste any new files in to the Pen Drive, Delete any files of it or format the pen drive

Same issue happening to my external hard disk too. I have searched through google regarding this and any method wasn't able to fix this issue. Anyone here can help me please?

Thanks
Praditha

It sounds like the pen drive is tied to another account on another computer. Try backing up the files on the computer and then format the pen drive. Move the files back to the pen drive.

To format the pen drive right click it in My Computer and chose format. I'd use NTFS.

That event log does not tell me much.

Open the Command Prompt as a administrator and execute below commands:

Code:
Reg Delete "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies" /v "WriteProtect" /f

Reg Add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies" /f

After executing the commands see you can paste or format USB flash drive.
