My laptop, previously connected to my Homegroup, crashed its hard drive. I've reloaded everything and am now trying to rejoin my homegroup. When I enter the password there is a long wait, then I get the message "Windows encountered an error." I ran the troubleshooter, which said to check network problems first. Windows Network Diagnostics said "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem". (Is there one? The laptop connects to the internet with no problem.)
It then said to run the HomeGroup troubleshooter on the computer that created the homegroup. I did so and got the message "Some problems were fixed" and that I should try again, but this didn't help.
Any ideas on how to proceed?
