Hello!

I am here to see if anyone can help me because my dvd drive is not reading my recovery disks but it does read other dvds and i need to restore my system back to its factory state.

I have tried to open the recovery disks on another computer (which is quite old) and this computer can read the recovery disks.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any way to restore my computer to its factory state without using the recovery disks or is it there any other way to restore the system using the dvds without using the computer's dvd drive as it cannot read the disks so it wont restore because the computer cannot read the recovery disks?

I know that I should have created a System image but this time seems like I skipped that part and now I have to deal with this problem. Oh well, new lesson that i had to learn.

I would really appreciate if anyone could help as I am having a few problems and would get them sorted with a fresh installation.

I have a Packard Bell EasyNote TJ61 running windows 7 x64.

Thanks in advance!

I agree that if Windows is operational go into Acer's eRecovery program.
My experience with Alt+F10 is that pressing Alt and tapping F10 didn't work. They must both be tapped but keeping both depressed also seemed to work.
