Can't run Battlefield Bad Company 2 on Ultra anymore ?

The first day I got my new pc ,I could run BFBC2 on ULTRA at min 60 and max 90 FPS,and now I can't ?!
I don't get it. I play all game (that I currently own ) on the highest settings,at a playable framerate. I am even running BF3 on the ultra settings with no problems...
My PC -
CPU- AMD FX 4100 Quad Core 3.6 GHz
GPU- Sapphire 7870 OC Edition
RAM- 8 GB 1600 MHz
HDD- 500 GB
Cooling-1x1000 RPM fan that is pulling the warm air out.

Perhaps a patch/update not installing correctly... perhaps the patch has some bad coding?... perhaps your drivers got corrupted? this last one is more of a crapshoot than anything else since you said your other games play perfectly, nonetheless, I would update audio/video drivers just to make sure.

Perhaps going to BFBC2 forum yields a better/quicker/more answer(s)?

I am sure others here will chime in momentarily.

The drivers are okay . I don't know about the patch thing though...thanks for replying :]

If everything else is running fine, it's probably an issue with the game.

Make sure you don't have any background processes running that might interfere with the game for starters. Close anything you don't need to be running to play the game with the task manager. You might have some process running that is taking resources away or that the game just doesn't like for some reason. If you've got something like Gamebooster running, turn it off and try running the game. Sometimes game 'boosting' programs actually slow down games.

Run a virus, malware, and adware check on your PC. Note that you'll probably need a separate program for each of those. There are lots of free options if you don't have one. Google is your friend. I use Malewarebytes and Adwcleaner for malware and adware detection and removal. Infections can do a lot to slow things down on a PC and sometimes will only affect certain programs depending on what specific resources they use.

If that doesn't help uninstall the game, run a registry cleaner [like Ccleaner], and Reinstall BFBC2.

Those steps are usually the first thing you should try if a single program is acting up and everything else is running without issues.

In the background,im only running DxTory so I can see my FPS and Origin,which NEEDS to be running. But it's okay. I never really play BFBC2. It's just the fact that my friend bought it,and we wanted to play it together...
