Hi, I'm having trouble shutting down PC completely.Windows and monitor turn off, but the fans are still working, especially that on of the video card. My config is:

Windows 7 32-bit
ASUS P5K
GeForce 8600GTS
TV Tuner card Phillips SAA7135
2GB DDR2 RAM
Cooler Master 600W

I've installed 8.1 64-bit on SSD and there was a moment after I've made update when it didn't shut down, but after installing drivers with IObit and DriverPack Solution and Windows Update it worked like a charm. On Windows 7 32-bit I tried with DriverGenius Professional, it downloaded couple of drivers - not all, I''m still stuck.

Well; first thing i would try is to do a system restore back to before you downloaded the drivers; as its possible for whatever reason that one of the drivers is causing the system to "hang" on shutdown. Do that by doing the following: click start, programs, accessories, system tools, then system restore. Choose the date prior to installing the drivers. Reboot; and see if windows will properly detect the drivers needed; then once they are installed; try and shut down and see if the problem is resolved or not. If not post back and we can go from there.

download from bleeping computer – delete any rubbishthese find.

Mate the IO stuff too I am not a fan at all it causes all sorts of problems when I got stuck with it once before - it might be worth getting rid of it as most of those sorts of software are not much chop anyway including those driver finders - much better and safer to look for the manufacturers support ones.

I just recently had this problem and it turned out to be the power supply not shutting down like it should. Installed a new one and it shuts down completely now.
