Currently using a Radeon X700Pro. I'd like to upgrade to something that will have manufacturer supported drivers for W7 64. I don't play games but use Photoshop and watch/work with some videos. Any ideas for PCI Express x16?

if you're sure you don't want to play any games, then you don't need a card with a noisy fan. cards are available with passive cooling systems that rely on big heatsinks.

anything with either an nvidia or ati gpu will be fully supported by windows 7.

you really don't need to spend much money these days on a low-end card. anything from the ati 3000 series will have more than enough power for photoshop and movie acceleration.

It seems as though the Nvidia PC Express x16 prices are a lot lower than ATI. Or am I not seeing a large enough sample?

I had the ATI X700 Pro. I upgraded to the ATI HD3850 512.

My WEI graphics scores jumped from 4.1 to 6.9. The 3850 also provides HDMI audio through the DVI port with a $15 adapter. I got my HD3850 for $25, but it was a score. You may have to pay around $50.

Antman, do you mean the AGP8X card..?

No. Ask because I want one for an older rig I have. They're supposed to be killer cards.
I really like this card. Even if I had to pay more, this card exceeds my needs. I even played the Batman demo and it looked awesome - better than the XBox360. But, I don't really game.

Too bad the AGP form factor is driving the price of the card up for you. Check out CedarPC.com. I do not know about their shipping - they are a local wholesaler. Ask Subsonic for a reference. He was very happy, I think, with a deal they gave him - but he is local.
