Hi all,

I'm using a HP ENVY 14-2020NR and I've had this problem for quite a while now but it has never bothered me until recently as I began playing Diablo and was surprised that my Envy was struggling to cope with medium-low graphics. When I first bought it, I was able to load up catalyst control centre and assign programs to integrated/dedicated graphics however now I cannot load it up at all.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics drivers from HP with no avail.

I now suspect that the AMD graphics card in my laptop may be faulty and the notebook has resigned to using the intel graphics only.

When I right click the catalyst control icon in the system try, I see only 1. Mobile Intel(R) HD Graphics with no mention of the radeon HD graphics.

In Device manager however I see both AMD Radeon and Mobile Intel(R) HD Graphics with no errors in either of them.

In Control Panel I see no Catalyst control centre. However I can see in the windows start menu but when clicking it, nothing loads up.

I installed the drivers provided by HP and not AMD or Intel.

Any help on the issue is welcome, thank you in advance!

Thanks for your reply,

I just tried the AMD Driver autodetect and after checking and downloading the driver it stated that my graphics card is not supported.

I have however confirmed that my graphics is still working by installing the AMD System monitor, I saw that when I am playing World of Warcraft, my radeon 6630M is being used (I assigned this to high performance in CCC when it used to work) but when I am playing Diablo III the radeon 6630M is at 0% usage.

Catalyst control centre is my problem here and I've tried many different solutions from various boards.

I am considering doing a full reinstall of windows of my laptop to see if this solves the problem.

Thanks

It still states that

"AMD Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on your computer.

This version of your graphics adapter is not supported."
