All,

According to the Catalyst Control Center, Catalyst Version 11.12 is installed on my Win7 x64 box. I downloaded the version 12.4 executable from ATI, uninstalled version 11.12, rebooted, installed version 12.4, rebooted, and guess what? According to the Catalyst Control Center, Catalyst Version 11.12 is still installed!

Has anyone else seen this odd behavior? More importantly, is there a way to resolve this problem?

When I look at the files which were installed, the date stamp on certain key files does correspond to the release date for version 12.4...

From ATI support (which was very responsive!): [FONT=&quot]This is a known issue with 12.4 that our Catalyst team is currently working on for our 12.5 release coming later this month. The files are the 12.4 version, but they are not posting their version number to Windows correctly, so the system believes that they are still the old drivers.

They do have a work-around for those who need the proper version number to be posted.
