CBS Log's Scannow Corrupt. Can Someone look at this and tell me ??

shoot over to Heidoc and select the OEM option

Yes I have run the SFC, SURT and chkdsk more then once and nothing helped. I did not run them in the order you listed, would take of made a difference?

In your case the order doesn't matter because you ran them all before you uploaded the log files.

Should I re-run all of them again?

Not at the moment!

Download and run SFCFix from here => SFCFix.

Post the SFCFix log results which can be found in C:\SFCFix . . .

The only problem seems to be a corrupted .mp3 file [Sleep Away.mp3] . . .

That is a cruddy MS sample music song, can I go somewhere and just delete it?

I believe that the song is part of the windows media player, can the media player be uninstalled and reinstalled??? I'm going to try this next.

At this point would I be better off just taking that spare hard drive and try to load the OS on that and start from fresh?

It will be in the Sample Music folder I would have thought!
You DON'T need to uninstall and re-install Media Player.

OK I went into SAFE mode and deleted all the sample songs and then restarted. Next was to run #2 and the sfc passed then ran #3. I think it may be ok?

today and it said I was up to date, but I just looked and now I see that annoying Windows 10 I see has re-appeared. I believe if I run again that will be gone and it will say Im up to date

Ran it and it showed ok, that 10 crud shows up on and off and I wish I could just turn that off for good...



Now to get rid of that once and for all, how???

Its getting close to the time I will just turn off the MS updates as I plan to keep Win 7.

Yes but was unsure about that never 10 thought it may have been a issue. Will run that again.

I tried the Windows stop 10 and got this:

Server Error

404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable

Also running my Acronis to see if its back working. With that corrupt error it would cause my Acronis not to validate the backup. Fingers crossed that the issue was cause by that sample song

Powershell file can be repaired via System Repair
Microsoft.VC90.MFC a corrupt instal of a MS Visuall C++ program delete all versions to fix

Could be showing other errors

I have a couple of ways to stop the Pending W10 install,

BUT to be brutally honest your better of waiting till tomorrow to get the W7 iso and perform a clean install
And it will be quicker

I noticed that you said . . .

I believe its real as the PC came with the original Dell software as well as the MS COA WIn7 sticker. The Re-installation disc was not opened till I got the PC.

Can you perform the below . . .

Disk Management

Post a screenshot of the Disk Management => Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image.
Pay special attention to Step 5.

If you have a recovery partition [factory reset] or as you say you have, the original installation media, then a clean install should be quite easy and straight forward. You could even try a repair install from the original installation media first if a clean install is not an option!

I don't know why, I have just looked at the code I wrote and tested the file itself and if you press [Y] and [ENTER] the computer reboots, I have just run it on my computer after downloading it from the forum!

Anyway, there are still the same errors for Powershell, Language Pack, and Visuall C++.
