CD-Lock issues

Hi all

I have recently purchased a high end PC and as such needed to have Win 7 for it to run properly. However, I have had several software clashes. In particular is CD-Lock from PC-Magic Software. It is a fantastic prog that encrypts files before being burned to CD/DVD. The end user does not need the software, just the password. However, when a Locked DVD is run in Win 7, it pops a window saying that I cannot unlock as before and must manually decrypt the files.

This is just one of the numerous over-secure problems with Win 7. I can have hundreds of files on a DVD which I now have to manually decrypt. This can take serious amounts of time.

Does anyone know of a work around? I am seriously considering abandoning my high end PC and going back to a lower PC with XP. I am finding new things to hate about Win 7 every day.

Many thanks

Did you try the first suggestion on this page? It should work with Win 7 too.
CD-Lock

So what they say is buy another copy of the prog, then reburn all of my protected DVDs (somewhere in the region of about 500 discs)? So money to buy the prog then more money to buy new discs, plus all the time to convert and burn. Win 7 is seriously testing my patience as an OS. I thought the whole point of newer versions of Windows is that they should be backward compatible but this version seems to make me feel like we are going back to the stone age. But, as long as Bill Gates and his merry minions are living comfortable well off, we all pay the price.

Thank you for your response Jacee. I feel a turn back to XP may be a better option for me. Anyone want to buy a new high spec PC? lol.

Ableconn 10 port SATA PSI Card. Of these 10 and the 6 SATA Ports on the mobo, 14 of them are in use.
Being an old bloke I confuse easily, so can you please help me out.
Why is windows 7 blamed for the failure of a software manufacturers failure to update their programs and bring them up to date.
If you have a "high Spec " Pc you would have either Window7 Pro or Ultimate and should be able to run xp mode and that will run your program.
