Solved Center Icons In Task Bar

I am trying to centre the icons on my task bar in windows seven. I have followed many tutorials and have added a new task bar but when I pull it to the left the icons don't go into the new task bar. Any ideas

try adding a couple of empty/blank toolbars to the taskbar, create empty folders call them toolbars 1 and 2 in your user folder somewhere,

right click the taskbar select toolbars /new toolbars when prompted navigate to the new toolbar folders you created.
that will give you the dotted lines to drag either side of the icons you want centered.
remember to lock the taskbar afterwards, and allow for a tiny shift to the left when you lock it, anyhow you will see and adjust to suit yourself.

Hi and thanks for your reply. Tried that but it didn't work. The problem is that the icons won't go into the new folder.

you dont put the icons in a folder, you move the toolbars either side of the icons and you will see them move to the center.



you first have to unlock the taskbar. when completed right click the taskbar again ,click toolbars you then un tick the show text and show title to hide it then when you lock the taskbar again the dotted lines disappear

Tried that. Once I pull the dotted lines to the left the icons bunch up and disappear. According to what I have read the icons should appear in the centre but they don't.

Step by step.

1, Right Click on the task bar select "Toolbars" New Toolbar...
2, Choose a folder that hidden away.
3, Drag the the bar to the leftmost and past the start button.
4 Drag the rightmost to the position that you want.
