Change font color of visited search sites

Big problem no one seems able to fix. Using Firefox 61 and Google for search. I want to change the font color of visited search sites.



Set up goes fine: Options> General>Font & Colors>Colors... I change "visited links" color to dark yellow. MUST change Override to "Always." Success (see attachment 1). But it changes the look and format of ALL sites, too (see attachments 2 & 3).


Some online advice is to make css changes. I'm not familiar with how to do that and I don't know if it will actually work. Suggestions please.

you used to be able to add a line to userChrome.css that looks like this:
a:visited {color: pink;}
and it would change visited links to pink. But I think starting with v57 that no longer works.
So I tried exactly what you did and got what you got.
Then I tried adding the below add-on, and then doing what you did again (tools > options > colors, etc) and that seemed to work correctly

Good work. However, that app does the direct opposite of what I want.
I want the color change Only in Google search. See BOLD below. Any other ideas re: change the css? myself, do
