Hi, I have installed a theme (visual style) to my Windows 7 system for the first time.
Now I want to customize the icons too, step by step.
Have now come across to one particular icon, that has the "change icon" field greyed out.
What am I doning wrong, I wonder?
Thanks

Don't talk if you can't improve the silence.
You are doing it right. It is just sometimes software developers do things like that (another example would be MS Office).

Work around would be usage of utility which enables greyed out controls. There are a lot on the market and they are free (Windows Enabler, VeoVeo.exe, SS Enabler, etc.)

Hello Cov,

As a test, manually create a new shortcut from the program's exe file, then see if you may be able to change the icon of this new shortcut. Shortcuts created by the program during it's installation may sometimes be like this where you are unable to change the icon, but shortcuts that you create yourself will allow it.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Hi Shawn, thank you for this. I'm going to try it out first when I'm at home.

I'll report back later :)
