On my desktop, the Juno icon shows as a blank sheet of paper. I can copy the Juno icon, but how do I change the current desktop icon to the one I can copy?
Kindly note, I am not a computer wizard; and that I have spent hours searching the Internet, but all of the lengthy theory, system descriptions, detailed extraneous information, etc. contain verbiage that is incomprehensible to my simple mind. However, I must admit that I am duly impressed by the knowledgeable solutioms that the helpful posts proffer, but my limited capabilities prevent me from using it, and left me foundering, always off on never ending tangents.

I can follow simple steps, like: 1. Turn on computer. 2. Click on "Start" 3. click on "Control Panel" etc.

My abject apologies for my ignorance.
If this is a difficult task, please do not waste your time on my request. I can continue to use the current icon as I have done in the past.

Thank you.

Here is an extremely simple way to create an icon file. You won't have the best looking icon, but it will work, and it is very simple to create.

Open any picture in Paint. Use crop and other Paint tools to trim away the part you don't want. When you get it the way you want, click File / Save As, and choose BMP Picture. Choose a location and file name, and put .ICO at the end of the file name. Save the file.

So what you have done is to create a file of type .BMP, with the file name ending in .ICO.

You can now use that file as your icon.
