Change my Windows 7 drive to System Partition?

It's a bit tricky, but I really don't know what I'd do without you guys. Thanks for all the help.

I ran the Properties>Tools>Error check and had it fix sectors and such checked. As usual, the disk vanished from the system again. I'm confident that nobody knows yet, that's why no-one answers when I ask, but seriously, doesn't that mean the disc is damaged? Windows crashes on it, and I cannot copy/access data on it. I feel it would be easier to just go out any buy a new SATA drive and move on in less than 15 minutes. Everyone really thinks it's not a hopeless cause?

I am sorry I wasn't clear enough or that no one was able to help you burn your HD maker's diagnostics/repair CD scan, or run Disk Check from the Command Line which runs better .

Option Two in the http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html tutorial shows how to run Disk Check from the Command Line. You can open one in Windows as tutorial shows, or if it doesn't work correctly access one on the F8 Boot tools menu, or use the Command Line on the Win7 DVD or Repair CD.

To access a Command Line at bootup by tapping F8 key: Command Prompt at Startup

To use Command Line from DVD/Repair CD, press Shift F10 after it boots up to the first screen: Boot from CD - How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD - Boot to CD

If the Command line won't open by pressing Shift + F10 on first screen after booting DVD/Repair CD, then choose Repair My Computer on DVD's second screen (or after signing in to Repair CD) click through to Recovery Tools list to open a Command Line from the list which I showed you in screenshot.

What is your HD model? If the maker's diagnostics only offer an .exe file, then it most likely will unzip an bootable ISO image file to a location it reveals when you are running it as Administrator. There should also be a ReadMe file extracted or further instructions on how to burn the CD on the page you download from.

I would burn the ISO to CD using ImgBurn at 4x speed.

Free Partition Wizard bootable CD also has a Disk Check called "Check File System" on its Partition tab, and a HD Surface Scan on its Disk tab that is similar to maker's diag/repair scans. Free Download Magic Partition Manager Software - Partition Wizard Online
