Change user account control settings

I'm trying to change the settings back to "never notify", but every time I click the link, after typing it in the search bar, nothing happens.

Wile in the user account menu, the 4 options with an admin symbol next to them don't work either. I'm assuming that's the problem, I don't have admin capabilities, although I should, I am an administrator.

Is this a common problem, or is it just me?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Also what "Link" are clicking on?

The link I'm clicking on is change user account control settings when you type "change user account control settings" in the windows search bar found in the start menu.

And I've tried it the normal way, going through start, control panel, etc. but when I click on "change user account control settings" nothing happens. None of the links with an administrator symbol will open. The loading symbol replaces the mouse for a second, but in the end, nothing happens.

Change the UAC settings back to default and then try again - Does the same thing happen?

If you go to Safe Mode and log on to your "supposedly" admin account, do you have any admin rights then ?
Such as running a full virus scan or installing Malwarebytes and run it ?

How to determine if you are an administrator:

1. Click on the Start button.
2. Select Control Panel.
3. Select User Accounts and Family Safety.
4. Select User Accounts.
5. On the right of the User Accounts window, you should see your account name, account icon and a description listed.
6. If the word "Administrator" is in your account’s description, then you are an administrator. If you see "Standard user," then you are not and administrator and will need to log in as a different user.

I've already said, I'm an administrator. I know I'm an administrator. Everything else works. I have no problems running programs dealing with administration. It's just an idea that it's because of my administrator status, not for sure. The UAC menu won't even open. I can't change back to default if it won't open.

I downloaded the reg file and I believe that worked.
