Solved Changing IP adress

Can anyone give me help in changing my IP address. I started getting a message on a few sites that states I must enable cookies. My cookies are set to be enabled and are being place by sites. I can run "SecurityKISS" to connect to the sites but it is very slow and limits to less than 300mb per 24 hours (free ver).

I have run AntiMalware (it runs each night) and Super AntiSpyware. Nothing shows up. I have 'restored' to before the problem and have run SFC and chkdsk. Using Windows firewall and MSE on three PC's and now all have the same problem with same sites. Today my wife cannot place an order with Amazon(need help ASAP).

Why do you want to change your IP? Is it being blocked on sites?

Of course securityKiss will slow you down as it is adding an extra step in the route and is nothing more than their own VPN. Their servers may be the cause of the slowdown

PooMan - I guess both. When I use SecurityKISS, it starts by showing both internal & external. After it connected it show the "NEW" internal and external.

What ever it takes to correct the problem.

You can restart your modem, and this could possibly change your IP or you can use a proxy or a proxy site like Hide My Ass! Free Proxy and Privacy Tools - Surf The Web Anonymously

Yeah I can use a lot of third party programs but I want to be able to do it like I have been for years & years. There has to be an answer as to why cookies are not being seen all sites now, and across 2 OS's and 4 PC"s. The only thing in common is the router and IP address.

I tried restarting the modem and router. Still the same.

OK !! I found the problem. I just returned from a local coffee shop that has wifi. I took both of my laptops, (1 with XP and 1 with Win 7), and they both worked as they should. Was able to download a Chronological Classics with no trouble and was able to order from Amazon.

This tells me that I have a problem either with my router or my IP address.

The next step would be to bypass your router. I would power off the modem and PC and then connect directly to the modem and reboot. Process of elimination.

PROBLEM SOLVED I did as you suggested and bypassed the router. This led me to do a reset of the router and reinstalling it. Wife is happy as she can now order from Amazon (maybe I should have held off for a few days to save money. Oh well). A Happy Camper!!! Thanks for the tip.
