Solved Changing "Services"

I have always used Black Viper to change Services (disable, manual etc.)
I’m just wondering if there are any poinions on it or if there is a proven better method.

My opinion on the matter. Leave it be. There is no performance benefit to doing it.

The benefits of meddling with services have been highly overrated while the risks are very real.

The big problem with disabling services is that you can never be sure of everything it does. The descriptions provided are incomplete and you will not find complete descriptions anywhere. Many do more than described. Black Viper often must resort to guessing. I have seen at least one case on this forum where a member came to grief from his incorrect guesses.

I have personal experience disabling a service that at the time seemed unimportant but became very important at a later time. This caused me a great deal of trouble.

Best proven method is to leave the services alone. But if you are adventurous and like to brick your system, go play with the services.
