Changing the Target in properties?

i have encountered a problem in a game (spore) where a fix i have found tells me to add something to the end of the 'target'

well when i right click on a desktop shortcut of the game and then click properties, i can see the 'target', but all it is is a light grey unclickable word "SPORE™"
i cannot change the target because i cannot type anything in the target box!

does anyone know why this is and how i can fix it?

help is greatly appreciated and i hope i have posted this in the right section of the forum.

Might need to take ownership, or run as admin. Instructions for both are in our tutorial section
