hello everyone. Does anyone know of a way to change the system volume in windows 7 while your playing a game, without exiting? its a bit frustrating and i don't want to buy a new keyboard with volume controls.

You could try alt+tab to go to the desktop, change the volume, then alt+tab back to the game.

I recently bought a Logitech Headset with a usb connection so I can play without disturbing the Mrs., and so I can use speech recognition.
It has an in-line volume control device, which adjusts the system volume.

Unless the game itself has key mapping for volume control, I don't think it's possible to adjust system volume without exiting.

Keyboard with volume controls, or pause and use alt-tab to get out temporarily.

I don't believe most games (or Windows itself) do keyboard shortcuts for volume or something like that.

If you're mainly just concerned about game volume, most games do let you adjust that within the game options, and that way you don't have to do anything at the level of the entire system.
