Checking for updates of my windows 7 system no longer responds

Data will still be in-place after this in-place Upgrade unless there is a catastrophic failure to HD or during repair so that even a boot disk cannot retrieve it. This hasn't happened in any of the countless Repair Installs I've helped with.

Nevertheless back up by dragging your active User folders (Documents, Pictures, Music, Favorites, etc) to External, another HD, DVD, flash stick or upload 7gb free with each Windows Live ID to Skydrive - this can be easily done with Sync Any Folder to Your SkyDrive Account | PCWorld

Make sure you have everything you need in those folders, or drag it separately.

Thank you so much,
But this tool whose image is below wouldn't enable me to do a backup copy of all what I want whether the entire system with my data or just my data.

lllllp.png

If might be NO, then what would it do? Or at least send me any link to give me more information about the use of the tool above

Finally: Why does it not respond when I click on it?

Since clicking on "Backup & Restore" is NOT working for you, use Windows Explorer to copy your data to a safe place. After you copy it all you can continue with a Repair Install. Most likely you will not lose your data anyway, and when you're done with the repair your "Backup & Restore" will likely start working again.

Thank you so much indeed, I rally have an external 1TB hard disk. However, it isn't divided. I want to divide it now and then I will move my date into it,

But I have two question now:
First: Are there any tools in windows 7 which enable to divide a an external HDD? Or I should use another programs.

Finally: I am fairly sure that my computer is infected, so I am quite scared that if I insert the external HDD to be divided, it will be infected. Or at least when I move the my data into it.

Should I scan my computer on safe mode or not?
Should I let it remove all what it found?

Absolutely NOT! You clicked on the Registry cleaner (scam) ad at the bottom of the page. Uninstall it now in Control Panel>Programs and Features.

I don't know how one could miss the huge green Download Now button at the top under the program's title:

It should only find genuine threats.
Post back a screenshot of what it finds before you clean it up.

Hi Gregrocker,
I hope you are fine,

I have scanned my computer with Malwarbytes, and I recommended to do that in the 'safe mode'.
Anyways, I am quite surprising that the result of the scanning was that there are about ten threats, it doesn't matter how many they are. However, what it is important is that I when I checked the details of the scan, I checked out that all of those files which are suspicious as threats are inside copies of program(in other words, program is not installed). As a result, how do they cause the problems of my computer such 'the updates of windows and system restore and the other problems.

If those files were really threats, they wouldn't active until I install them. In other words, as far as I know that a virus is not active, unless it is installed or even click on it to be run.
Would you like to believe if anyone said that when he scanned a compressed file which content is TXT files, he found threats.
For me, however, I wouldn't believe that even if expert said to me that that is possible, especially when you have another Security program such as Norton Internet Security which didn't detect any threats in that compressed file.

These are the result,

I hope you can determine which ones I should let Malwarbystes delete.

Is this enough or I should send the log file? But the log file is most of them is Arabic

It is important for me that I want a solution of the problem of the udpates and system system and backup and restore icons which don't run. If those files detected as threats, although they are jsut copies, then how do they cause these probelms?

But it really detected less threats than what Defender detected. The defender detected too many threats which I think they are not.

I do not understand why you are not willing to delete all of the threats found by reliable Malwarebytes.

What are these programs exactly? Are they warez, because we are not able to continue helping you if you are using warez.

1. Please run this tool and post the results.
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012
2. Remove all anti virus, anti malware programs.
2. Install MSE and Malwarebytes Anti Malware, update them.
4. Remove all illegal software. Whether you need them, want them doesn't matter.
5. Update MSE and MAM and run complete scans and let them remove what they
find. If they find bad things let us know what they find.

For 51 post and 4 days these good people have been trying to help you and for what ever reason you won't let them. Do these things and they will be able to help you. If you don't do them; well have a nice day.

Those are just normal programs, Please understand me, if these copies files were threats, I would delete them without any hesitate
But I don't believe that copies of program(NOT installation) are threats.
If I delete them, will my problem with updates of windows and the others solve?
I don't think because there isn't any relation between the copies of programs and my problems, unless these copies become installed.

If you're worried that your computer is infected then run the scans and clean up what they report.

You are being unnecessarily stubborn and irritating those trying to help you.

Let us know when you clean up the infections which Malwarebytes and Windows Defender offline report.

Thank you Gregrocker,
I don't want to irritate you, but I want to know what I want to do and what I remove to benefit from this problem in the future.

I said fairly (30%) sure that my computer is infected because the updates of windows, system restore and Backup and restore icons don't respond when I click on them. So, I was expecting that I would find threats which are installed in my computer. In other words, infected programs are installed on my computer. So when I delete those program, my problem will solve. However, when I found out that all those threats are detected inside copies program (Not installed). How copies program will cause such problem at all?

On the other hand, I found out that 'Malwarebytes' found only 12 threads, however, 'Windows Defender offline' found much more threats than 'Malwarebytes'. All of them are copies (WINRAR FILES)

What would you like to explain this?

I think you have a lot of warez on your PC you are trying to protect by not cooperating with us from the start.

If not then you'll delete everything found by both scans and we will move on.

You may need a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 or Repair Install if removing the malware followed by SFC -SCANNOW Command don't set it right.
Thank you Greg, but how can I follow these steps either 'clean reinstall' or 'repair install' as long as I want to fix the problem on this compute of mine.

I have done 'SFC -SCANNOW Command' before and it found some problem in the first time and notified me that it repaired them. But when I run it again and again didn't found anything. But I didn't found any logs of repaired files by sfc scan.
I wan to proceed to 'repair' or 'clean reinstall'. Do you think this ' Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 or Repair Install' is better than restore from the backup which is in the recovery of factory?

Repair Install reinstalls the OS while keeping all programs, files and settings in place. It can solve problems in about half the cases I've seen. If not then move on to Clean Reinstall.

Clean Reinstall is superior to factory recovery because it reinstalls only the OS without all of the factory bloatware and useless OEM utilities that have better versions built into Win7. If you follow the steps in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to install and maintain your OS then you'll have a perfect install which you can image so you never have to reinstall again.
