Thanks for replying but cant find either.... i.e "Search for "Enable Rich Notifications" and "Enable Experimental UI for Notifications" and set both to "Disabled"" in chrome://flags/ ?

We've just released a new version of Chrome, 36, which provides more options for managing Chrome Notifications. In summary:


Chrome Desktop Notifications: We’ve updated your ability to manage which Chrome Notifications you receive and to hide or display the notifications icon. To learn more, please visit our help page here.


To manage your notifications: Open Notifications, click on the gear icon and deselect websites and apps for which you don't want to receive notifications.

To hide the notification icon in Windows: In your system tray, click the notification icon, Click Customize and Change the Google Chrome icon behavior to “Hide icon and notifications”. This will put the icon in the overflow area of the system tray.

To hide the notification icon in Mac: Click Chrome in your top menu bar. Select “Hide Notifications Icon” from the drop-down menu.

Otherwise, I'd think just search for the terms you want (I don't use Chrome, but in FF you can search for individual entries.

Thanks am using Version 41.0.2272.76 m, only get weather notifications......how can I get more?

Btw Chrome on my pcs and my Android phone are synced.

I guess we need to know what you are trying to do. I thought you just wanted to turn the notifications off? Let us know what you want to do.

1. I want to know how to turn them off, since could not find rich notifications enabled in chrome:flags, learnt to turn them off simply by clicking on clear all next to gear in notification icon .........correct.

2. Than I uninstalled and re installed Chrome notifications icon showed up.......but earlier I used to get other updates besides weather........now I only get weather, how can one edit notifications?

I am using chrome, i got that bell icon off by right clicking it then choose "quit/exit". it didn't shows up again.

Yes it gives options of Do not Disturb.......
