With all of the great information on this forum, I know this has had to have been mentioned. The problem is that I am so frustrated, I'm just going in circles. I have done clean installs several times before, but because there were no real issues I was unprepared.
When I load my .iso image disk, the files begin loading. Then I get to the screen asking me which hard drive to install the os. The drive I was going to use had 40gb. I was told that it could not be used and to view the set up log to see why..didn'y know how to do that. Over and over this went on using both disks I had made. Same exact stopping point. I finally got so frustrated I formatted my 7x32 OS hard drive and let her rip...same message. Before I screwed everything up, I checked and the hard drives were online. I only had the optical mouse, keyboard, and the HDMI monitor hooked up. I read the the HDMI could be a problem. Also, I am going to keep minimal memory onboard. This computer was running so well until I wanted to be able to have more memory available. Also, all of the partitions were NTFS.
Any help will most appreciated. There is just so much information here, I'm just chasing my tail. If someone could just give me a start in the right direction.
Thank you!

Thanks for the quick reply. I was out of town today, so I couldn't be as quick.
I even tried my wife's windows 7x64 upgrade at boot and it did the exact same thing as the iso image disk. Everything worked fine with Windows 7x32. I looked at the Windows 7 Compatibility area and it acknowledged that this drive was x64 compatible. What on earth have I done wrong?
Thanks

That did the trick. I read until I almost had it memorized. I still could not get anywhere with my old hard drive, which had been working fine. I must have done something! I had all backed up so no problem. I went out and got a new hard drive and I was up and running in 30 minutes..online and all. Thanks so much for steering me in the right direction.
