cod4 ... again

hey guys, im having a problem with cod4 that dosent seem to be the same as the 2 other tread ive read. I do play the game in sg and mp mode all the time with punkbuster installed due to the fact that i have read a tut that make it run without problemes. Now the thing is that somtimes i have huge drop of fps or the game just crash to desktop and it says iw3.exe as stop working. I know all my drivers are up to date and my computer can easely run it at all settings to maximum. Id like to know if some of you have a solution or encounter this issues .

Hi. Did you try installing a different copy of Cod4?

what do you mean ... one of my freinds dvd or somthing else ?

yeah sure its an original copy. I bought it the week it came out.

Did you try reinstalling the game?

Hmm, I'd try:

• Making sure you're game patched to 1.7.
• Try running it in safe mode after it crashes.
• If you have Steam installed and open try closing it down (I get drops in FPS and stutters when Steam is open.)
• Reinstall CoD4.

ive notice 2 days ago that i wasnt running it in administrator mode... so now it is like that and it havent crash yet so ill let it go like that and ill let you know if it really worked.

thx for all the advice ill sure try them if the problem persist.

lol, have you tried turning the game settings down, and seeing if it still crashes, just a thought.

lowring the graphic setting is a faillure lol , i guess ill have to reinstall the game to see if it work... or wait until the os hit the store lol.
