I have a windows 7, MSI A6200

I've read posts on here about how to remove the com surrogate pop up and hopefully I didn't try everything to remove this pop up. The thing is about this pop up, it pops up ALL the time, every 5 or 10 secs. It doesn't matter if I'm looking through any pictures or videos...whatever, doesn't matter.

Here are the methods I've already tried,

Installed codecs (But I've uninstalled that after when it did nothing about it)

I've done this:
Click Start.
In the Search Box type CMD
Right click on the Command Prompt icon.
Click Run as Administrator.
In the Command Prompt black window type: regsvr32 %windir%/System32/vbscript.dll and hit Enter.
The system will return with the following message: DLL Register Server in C:\Windows\System32/vbscript.dll has been successful.
Now click Start.
Click Computer on the right.
Click Folder and Search.
Click the View tab.
Tick Always show icons never thumbnails.

I've checked the DEP settings but because of having 64 bit, it won't work if I try to execute dllhost.exe

(Haha, as I type, I keep getting com surrogates pops up, every 5 secs...like please..help this poor human being.)

I even tried to uninstall the Intel(R) HD graphics.

- Went into device manager
- Expand the "Display Adapters"
- Right Click on Intel HD Graphics and select uninstall
- Tick the "Delete the driver software for this device" option and then click "OK"

BUT WTF DOES "TICK" even mean? I know what a Tick is but Idk what it means by "tick the delete button"
Maybe that's why it didn't work because I didn't TICK a thing.

Codec mess is a pain in the butt and most of the times leads to perform clean installs and avoid reinstalling those pesky codec packs from hell. Next time you mess with codecs, backup your system first with AOMEI/Macrium/Acronis, or whatever tool you prefer.

Thanks buddy, for the tip!

I've already did a backup, rebooted my computer and the pop up is gone.
