Odd feels like your OS has a major issue going on with it if you keep getting error after error. SURT can take a long time sometimes, did you reboot before trying to run it again? What BIOS you on again, and does TVSU find any new glaring updates at the moment?

Hi rvcjew,

I decided to bug Lenovo again and called them. There's on-site service included in my warranty and they will send someone coming week. They might replace some part which is known in my model to be an issue. Though the guy on the phone said he was not sure if that will fix it. I'll update here after that.

Right, so he just replaced the full motherboard. And to be honest, I don't think that was the issue but let's see if this works out.

I think so. I let him work in peace without me staring at every finger move he does, but I think he only brought a new motherboard.

Hello Siemen, I am have been receiving the same error message since I purchased my Thinkpad P50 in 2015; I am writing to see if replacing the motherboard fixed your issue?

Hi periopdoc,

Sorry to hear you've been having the same issue. Unfortunately replacing the motherboard did not fix the issue. In fact I've been getting more issues over time and I've been keeping screenshots of random errors I get so I can e-mail lenovo once I have the time.
The problem with not coming out of hibernation mode mostly seems to be linked with the battery dying. If I'm not around my laptop when it's dying or I simply don't plug the computer in time, the original error at the start of this thread happens. So I've learned to almost always plug in my computer.

I added in attachment some more errors that I get when I haven't shut down my computer in a while. Other things that happen are the following:
- I don't have a button in the bottom right corner of my toolbar that shows all available networks. I now have to add the network manually in Network center each time I want to connect to a new network. So that means I have to type in the name of the network, case sensitive, as well.
- Sometimes the keys for changing brightness stop working. I then have to manually change brightness from control panel.
- Sometimes the bar that shows which volume your computer is set to, which shows up when you press one of the buttons for changing the volume, doesn't show up. The volume still changes though.
- Sometimes the jack output for my laptop stops working. So then I only have the option to use the built-in speakers or mute the volume.
- I've had the microphone automatically being muted, without me doing anything. This I can fix from control panel.

Most of these errors do get fixed when I restart the computer (except for the network window being missing, that's just gone).

Writing all of this down makes me realize how much stuff there's actually wrong with my machine right now. It's really a pity since I spent quite a lot of bucks on this computer, hoping I wouldn't have to deal with issues. I wrote the guys from Lenovo after they replaced my motherboard explaining the problem still happens and they told me to update the bios and get back to them if that doesn't work. The problem is I use my computer all the time for work and it's hard to find a time slot where I can miss it for repair (or to spend time calling them and explaining everything again, or trying to look for the solution). But I realize I need to get in touch with them and see what they say, I still have over a year of warranty.

Anyway, don't spend money on replacing the motherboard, and in case you do find the solution, let me know what did the trick.

Wow Siemen, Sucks that you still have not had your issue resolved. I also unfortunately think you still were given a bad board as things like networking and foundation crashing is normally due to hardware errors. When you got your new motherboard did you reinstall seven or just pop in your ssd and start working? If it was me I would uninstall every lenovo and intel related driver with network disabled so that it won't grab a new driver then go with another machine to lenovos driver page and only get the drivers from there to start. Then you can rule out bad foundation drivers.
