Computer crashes randomly; full-screen games, full screen movies

Hi all,
Been having a few computer troubles, last couple of days. Up until now, I have never had a computer crash since building my machine. Occasionally I've had to force-quit a program, but never random crashes.

I've had 6 in the last day or so, though. And none of them have happened with a BSoD. The last one to happen was while watching a movie. I Ctrl+Alt+Del'd and it got stuck showing a message "preparing security options..." with the time-circle(?), but never progressed past that point.

They all seem to happen at random, regardless of what I do. When playing full-screen games, watching full-screen movies, or even just sitting idling. I've tried updating my MOBO BiOS, my gfx driver, tried taking out and setting the RAM again, and even ran a full-system scan with both anti-virus and with CCleaner.

I'm afraid I'm not sure what I should do.

I tried to upload the files from the SF_Diagnostic_Tool, but got a message saying I didn't have the correct Security Token?

If there's any other information that you require of me, please don't hesitate to ask.

There was no dump file generated, as it said there were no dump files to transcribe.

Based on the logs.. i can see there were 2 dump files generated .... @ C:\Windows\Minidump\.. if possible upload them

1. C:\Windows\Minidump\123012-5148-01.dmp.
2. C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP

I would be good if you can upload these or the very least the first dump

Secondly i can see that your temps are gone really high .. which caused your system to shutdown... ie; 373K (Kelvin) or 99.5 deg C... I would suggest you use an aircan or a blower and clean the CPU fan as well as the GPU fans.

could you also run the MGADIAG from the sf diag tool and upload here as well.

Apologies for the wait in the reply; been unable to get onto a computer til now.

There is no folder called "Minidump" in the Windows subfolder, nor is there a MEMORY.DMP file. I tried browsing directly to it, but I have hidden folders shown, so it should show up even if it was.

I took the computer apart and reset the CPU + CPU cooler with new Thermal paste, and gave everything a quick clean. I've also started keeping a CPU temperature check on so I can make a note of the temperature when the computer crashes; last time was around 36~ degrees.

Well, like I said in the original post, I've never really had a BSoD; it's always just been the computer freezing and then doing absolutely nothing. Alt-tabbing doesn't work, and if I am able to alt-tab (at the start of an issue) then it sticks on a screen saying "Preparing security options..." and then doesn't move from there.

So... anymore freezing as yet...

go to run and type "resmon" and post the snapshot of the CPU and RAM tabs.... might have something that taking lots of resources.

Yeah, as I said the last time it froze the CPU was at 36 degrees or so, and basically anytime the computer is on, if I don't turn it off within 30 minutes, the computer freezes and I have to do a hard reset.

Attached is the resmon screenshot you requested. I was running a scan on my system at the time, as I'd ran a clean boot and wanted to see if a scan could find anything.

Edit: I've been doing a bit of searching myself, and a lot of people are talking about this possibly being a virus issue? But one that hides itself as a windows process, making it hard to find...
I've run several different scans on the computer, but I'm coming to the point where it might be more prudent to just hedge my bets and reinstall windows on the computer :/

I would suggest you remove trend micro and use MSE for your scan....

Also could you post the snapshot of the CPU tab as well..

Yep, I'm dumb, uploaded the memory section twice.

Trend micro is an online application, not one that is downloaded.

I have since reinstalled Win 7, and now the crashes are very much apparent. They now go to a BSoD after a 2 minute wait, but no matter what I do, the dump from the crash is never kept.

I was pretty sure it wasn't a hardware issue, but if it keeps crashing like this... I guess it is? Would it be a hard-drive issue that's causing it? I ran scans and formatted both the HDD and the SSD, but I'm not really sure where to go now |:

Could you run the sfdiag tool and post the file again
