Computer freezing 0x00000116

Computer freezes when I start playing League of Legends then crashes then turns back on and it also happen when I was browsing on the web.

A stop 0x116 is a display/graphics related issue.

Are you overclocking? As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings. Also set the BIOS to default, too.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/311593-speccy-publish-snapshot-your-system-specs.html .

Uninstall the installed display driver using Display Driver Uninstaller. Then install and older stable version, say 350.12 WHWL. NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce Game Ready Driver for Grand Theft Auto V WHQL

When the new driver is installed, stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

My computer crashed again after removing old drivers and installing the 350.12 WHQL, it was the same stop code 0x116. I went ahead and ran the Furmark stress test after and the gpu temperature hit 95 degrees C but no artifacts appeared and the computer did not crash. This is an alienware x51 and the case is very small, not sure if these temperatures are normal for this case but they seem pretty high. Open the computer. Clean the inside carefully. Clean all the air vents and fan grills so that the computer can blow the hot air out efficiently. Before re-seating things, apply new thermal paste.
