Hey guys, I have tried getting support from various other sites and even tried signing up on the AMD forums but they will not send me a verification email and I was wondering if someone can help me?

Whenever I come back to the computer after leaving it for a few mins (usually the display turns off) it completely locks up and I cannot see anything on screen, the only way to get back into it is by switching it off manually at the power button. Ive done a bit of troubleshooting but nothing appears to work, I have been using the event viewer to analyze what is happening just before the crash and every time I reboot and check it this error message is in here :

The AODDriver4.2 service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

The weird thing is I could be using it all day and using heavy applications and games etc but its runs smooth without any issue, but as soon as i leave it for around 5 minutes it crashes (90% of the time anyway)

I tried changing the power settings so the display doesn't switch off but the problems still occurs, bare in mind i left it on its own for a few hours so i wasn't around to see what happened before it crashed.

I found a website Event ID 7000 AODdriver4.1 error fix - Radeon - Graphics & Displays which told me to remove the problem driver from the device manager and remove the keys but the problem keys keep returning.

Also i found that i had 3 sets of keys in the registry aoddriver 4.1, 4.2 & 4.20 i removed 4.2.

And after doing that the crashes seem a bit more "aggressive" where as it will crash on opening certain programs. But after one or two restarts the crashes return to normal (when idling as opposed to being in use)

Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Just happened again while watching a video in VLC media player, Except getting a different error when checking event viewer after restart.

The following fatal alert was generated: 10. The internal error state is 10.

this cropped up a number of time over the space of 2-3 hours.

The issue appeared to be internet explorer not ATI, AMD, Catyalst or anything related to my graphics card.

Open up internet explorer, press alt, goto tools then internet options then advanced, scroll down the list and unchecked tls1.0 and since then no crashes, I have even intentionally left the computer running for a week or so, and no problems.

Ill just add this problem to my list of reasons why IE is a complete failure and why web developers should abandon it.
