Computer keeps deleting and uninstalling programs from "program files"

Hi, Over the last month or so my computer keeps uninstalling and deleting installed programs, i have no idea on whats happening to my computer, i have ran scans and they have came back negative, i know its not a faulty HD, it keeps happening every few days and its really annoying me, re-installing and downloading programs just for them to be deleted as if they were never there a few days later, any help would be much appreciated, Thank you,

Michael.

Almost sounds like something is doing a System Restore under the covers.

Can you provide a list of software running and installed? Maybe we can spot something in the list.

Download and install CCleaner from the following link: CCleaner - Standard

During installation, uncheck the option to install the Yahoo toolbar.

Start CCleaner. Click on Tools (ICON) and Select the following BUTTONS to create two (2) text files:

  • Uninstall > Save to text file (install) – bottom right corner of app window
  • Startup > Save to text file (startup)

Locate and open each saved file in the ‘Documents’ FOLDER:

  • Copy and paste the contents of each file into your next post (2 files).

Nothing leaps out at me.

Try disabling Daemon tools and Steam, then run for several days and see if the problem re-occurs.

I also wonder if maybe AVG is involved in this somehow? You could try uninstalling AVG and install Microsoft Security Essentials and test for awhile to see what happens.

I'm not convinced you don't have some kind of malware infection, even though you say you ran some scans. I see BitTorrent , Daemon Tools, Steam plus quite a few games. I think it would be a good idea to register at one of the well known malware removal sites and let them take a look at your system. All these are very good. I know there are more

The computer is used by just myself, it is password protected, our network is secure aswell, it is hidden to anyone without the SSID and passworded by WEP Key, Personally, i thought this file (Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x86) - 11.0.51106 Корпорация Майкрософт 07/06/2013 17.4 MB 11.0.51106.) looked a bit suspicious due to the foreign language, it should usually say "Microsoft corporation" Had a few people tell me that older versions of flash player are very subseptible to viruses, so i updated that to the latest one, Running just as normal at the moment, il see over the next few days if it uninstalls anything, thanks for you help lads, much appreciated:)! Take care.
