Solved Computer slows down fast after power up

Hello All.
As my title states, after I turn on the the computer my computer slows down fast after
I turn it on. I had to do a clean install after a program I installed (System Mechanic -trial) screwed up my computer.

I did a clean install ( back to factory new) on my computer. And ran a few malware
apps. and Tweaking.com - Windows Repair. I've done all this and I find I have to restart
my computer after about 45 minutes of use it.

I have an Acer Aspire X3910, Windows 7 Home Premium 64x.

If so could you attach a screen shot of the startup tab in msconfig?

well it's fairly obvious you have a background process that is slowly eating up your system resources. We've just got to try and figure out which one it is.

what I'm looking for is simple, just go to the search box in the start bar, type msconfig
and hit enter.
in the little window that opens up just go to the startup tab and get a screen, you can cancel out of the window afterwards.

If you continue to try to "tweak" your system, you should not be amazed that it goes on the blink. You are apparently not a geek, so stay away from all programs that you do not fully understand. Come here first and come for advice.

Regarding your ptoblem, that could also be the system indexing which it does after a new installation, but that should stop after a few hours of running. But follow the advice of Maguscreed so that we can have a look at your startups.

I cant get my screen capture to work right now. But I can tell you what it shows. It shows 23 start ups,
one is raid event monitor,
one hd audio control panel,
one ms intillipoint
two inel common user interface.
The reaming 18 are apps that I installed.

that is an awfully busy startup man.
I have 5 active items total on mine.
you can also take a screen by pressing the printscreen button on the keyboard then opening paint and hitting paste. (you can also clip and cut there.)
Not the quickest way to take a screen but it works.

1 startup (the AV program) is enough. Get rid of the rest.

are you using Snipping Tool to get the screen capture ?
if not please try it .it should be in your start menu and if you have 23 programs running at startup thats where you speed is going. but we need to see that startup list so we can see what you can disable..

23 checked programs in Start-up! Wow. Shouldn't normally be more than 5 or 6.

Please uncheck them two by two except for the A-V and Firewall and keep restarting again and again till the booting process normalizes. This shall also identify the programs that are causing havoc on your computer.

I hear what all of you are saying, and will knock off what I really dont need at startup.
But will this also help during my computer running slow after startup ?

The booting time is heavily start-up programs dependent. Each program takes time to load thus increasing the booting time. Therefore the fewer the start-up programs the quicker the booting.

if you remove most of the programs you have in the startup then thay don't start so thay don't use any cpu/memory there for your system should run much faster.

I have thinned out the start up to what I really need.
But my question is will this resolve my problem of my computer running slower as
it goes on after start up. (Original question)

i think the best thing you should do at this point is to do a clean install again and stay away from Tweaking.com and all the other apps that your loading and see how your system runs without all that.
