Solved conflicting activation & network

This seemed to be the most appropriate forum?
Earlier I was smoothly running network file sharing between an XP 32 bit desktop (host) and a win7
64 bit laptop. Then my XP machine was clobbered by malware to the point that I retired one XP and set
up another which also was overwhelmed. Defender and security essentials didn't even see them. Anyway
I bought a referbished win7 desktrop 32 bit. I got my network running and was pleased except that I was never happy with the 64 bit on the laptop.So...about 3 months ago I downgraded the 64 bit to 32 bit &
at last smooth running. Then the laptop said "not connected, no connection available". All updates are
uptodate.the networks are running, I checked the services(as far as I know all pertinent services are running), and I'm getting all my updates; I'm seeing current dates. I can't however get online. Yesterday
I got a message "you have 0 days to activate your computer", or something to that effect. I activated
the download I'm guessing about 3 months ago. Anyway I looked on the bottom, found the product
code and responded to the activation request. I cannot get acception of the product code. I'm on the
desktop right now to seek advice as to the laptop. My Xampp works fine on both machines. Any help?

Ignore errors produced when clicking on the Copy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup files for some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to your response.

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

As stated previously . I downgraded (upgraded) some months ago from 64 bit to 32 bit, at which time I purchased & used a one time product key. I've used the laptop for over 5 years and don't understand what's going. Was the product code I bought no good. If so why would Microsoft wait so long to alert me? I remember that I first contacted MS for the code (to be correct, I talked to a hindu who quoted 399.99 for the key. Let me know

The Key in use is an MSDN Key from a not-for-resale MSDN account.
Unless you are an MSDN subscriber, you are not entitled to use the Key – and whoever sold it to you was not entitled to do so.
You need to claim an immediate refund from the vendor - do NOT accept the offer of a new key (all they are trying to do is to get past the 45-day claims window or avoid you sending the evidence of their crimes to the authorities)

There is NO SUCH THING as a 'one-time Product Key' except those issued directly by the MS Activation Centers for certain very limited reasons and purposes.
If you acquired this Key by ANY other means, it is counterfeit.
