When I connect a USB drive to my computer the cursor freezes for a couple seconds. I have a wired USB mouse and no malware on the machine. Anyone know what would cause this?

Does it say that it is installing drivers during these 2 seconds.

That may be the cause. That keeps the USB port busy. Try another port for the mouse if possible in the rear.
