I'm really unsure about whats wrong with my computer. I built it myself a little less than a year ago, and it just recently started crashing all the time. It started around the time I installed a driver for the tascam US-800 (which was nothing but problems) but after uninstalling that driver, re-installing the OS, and changing my HDD I just don't know what to do.

I have done the standard windows memory diagnostic check, whatever its technical name is, and it said that it had found no errors.

All help is appreciated,

Thank you

Also, I tried to fallow the instructions to posting here but every time I ran the application it blue screened.

I'm doing as you suggested, but just for the record the crashes have been happening before Avira was ever on my computer.

I'll post an update on the MEMTEST asap

Sorry I took so long, I had a hard time getting a hold of a flash drive to do the test.

Bad news, I ran the MEMTEST and about 32% through the test a bunch of errors started happening, by the time I had stopped the test it had found over 40,000 errors.

Where do I go from here?

First test was done in slot one,
Wouldn't boot from slot two,
Tested slot three and at 21% I got a bunch of errors (when i rebooted it was in the 30,000's),
Wouldn't boot from slot four.
