Hi, I just installed 7 and it seems like for some reason Microsoft has made if very hard to copy files from my old XP drive to my Windows 7 drive. I just want to transfer a save game file from the documents folder on my XP drive to the drive I installed 7 on but it is nearly impossible. How can I do this and why did they make it so difficult?

In theory, you just need to connect it to your pc, then simply start Windows 7 and in Explorer or something just copy it from one drive to the other. But that's in theory ;) What exactly have you tried and can you give us more details of the problem? Do you get error messages of any kind? Help us help you :)

I think I figured it out. I needed to right click the folder and click share with and then click homegroup (read/write) and then it just let me copy and past to my 7 drive.
