Hello guys... I'm just new to Windows 7. I'm using both Vista and Windows 7 installed in separate partitions C and D. I'm planning on keeping my documents, mp3s, files, etc. in Drive C (Vista) while using my Drive D (Windows 7) mainly for OS and programs only. I'd like to ask, is it possible for the documents, pictures, music, etc. in my start bar (in Windows 7) to be linked to my files in Drive C? Or is it possible to use my Vista user account in Windows 7 so that I could always access my previous files easily while using Windows 7? Thanks

I Dont think that what you describe is possible..If you have the space, I'd create a partition specifically for your documents, mp3's etc...

I agree. It would definitely be best to make a third partition with all your documents and music and such and it will be accessible from both OS.

The problem is that I already have 4 primary partitions (2 for the OS, 2 related to Acer recovery), and adding a logical partition would make my disk a dynamic disk.

I would make an image of your system partition as well as create a set of system restore discs and format/wipe the recovery partitions... this would allow you room to create the partition that you need... Hope this helps...
