CPU 0 100% usage and overheating due to Interrupts

Hello, thi is my first post in the forum.

I have a Asus k53sc notebook, and during the past week i have noticed a strange behavior: the CPU 0 is always between 90% and 100% of using, bringing the temperature to 95-100 °C.

The issue seems random, it can show between 10 minutes and 3 hours from the boot.
I scanned with various utilities for virus or rootkit, the PC seems clean.

I did a fresh install of win7, without installing any driver and the problem stills here.

Changing power management to Balanced or Energy Saving did'nt slow down the first CPU, but helps keeping the temperature between 70 and 80°C

Process Explorer did'nt show any process eating up CPU usage, but every time the problem is there, i see Interrupts bild up to 9-12% CPU usage, wich seemes compatible with the first CPU full usage.

Latency Mon shows that the driver with highest execution are ndis.sys, ACPI.sys or tcpip.sys.
Disabling the network adapters did'nt help, neither disabling networks adapter power management.
Removing the battery did'nt helps.

Can you point me to the right solution?
Thank you!
Simone

Thankyou Yard Dog.

I scanned the Ram with MemTest86+, and after a few pass seems that a slot of ram is faulty, and the errors where always in the same adress.
I tried removing one, and then the other, but without luck, the problem still here ( i need to change the ram for sure, but it seems not related to overheat of CPU 0 issue).

But a strange thing happen: the cooling fan on the left of the case started to work again, probably due to faulty connections, and thanks to "moving" some part around while removing Ram, and when it works, the problem seems to go away.

I did'nt noticed the fan stop working, because i often works with headpohnes.

While a blocked fan can surely cause overheating, can also lead to a CPU 0 over usage?
Why the system itself did'nt lower cpu usage in case of overheating?

Thank you!

Where did you get your data? How do you know it didn't? Check your system event log for Event ID: 26 and the "throttle states" > 0.

Thankyou carwiz, i wish i understood well your question.

I take my data from task manager, where CPU 0 stays almost at 100% all the time, and from coretemp, where i see 95-100 °C when the problem shows up.

I cleaned the Event log, but i can't find any recent ID 26 Event...

Another clue the fan could be the issue:
THis morning i turn on the laptop : No fan noise, after ten minutes CPU 0 runs at 100%, temperature raises to 100%.
I put the laptop in sleep mode, just two seconds, then wake up from sleep mode: the fan start to work again, all teh CPUs works properly, temperature go down to 45-50 °C.

Thank you!
