CPU is Overheating

My system shutdown after 2 or 3 Min. For solve this i check my system and find processor overheating. So solve this remove the processor and paste silver thermal paste on processor but this not solve the problem, so again i remove the processor and watch the M/B socket in this two pins are bent or damaged. So now what should i do for escaping this.

System motherboard model Intel D945GCPE and Processor is Intel P4 3.00 GHz.
system running under Win XP SP3 Professional Edition 32 Bit.

With a relatively old motherboard and CPU, you can try to straighten the two pins, but if that is unsuccessful, I would consider replacing it with modern motherboard and CPU.
