If only it were that easy. The truth is $ are not laying around my house waiting for a trip to the store. A friend inherited some money and shared $200 for help I've given for years without pay. Of course it works the other way too.

Another friend offered a loan to add to the $200 so I could get i7 and give me his EVGA GeForce GTX 650 01G-P4-2650-KR Video Card - 1GB GDDR5, PCI-Express 3.0(x16), 1x Dual-link DVI-I, 1x Dual-link DVI-D, 1x Mini-HDMI, DirectX 11, Dual-Slot when he builds his new pc when Haskels are available.

Doesn't the BIOS update making mobo 3rd Gen Ready also make it pci-e 3.0 capable?

The "4th Generation" or Haswell, is coming out in June, and will use a completely different CPU socket, Socket 1150. Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge are Socket 1155 platforms.

That's the one thing that kept me from Intel for the last 5 years now they keep changing sockets like crazy I have changed to one other socket on AMD and all my chips were backward compatible

I went from AM2+ to AM3+ that was it The 1155 is a good platform no doubt and the 3770k should run well off onboard graphic but if you do choose a GPU go with a 660 the TI model is almost the same identical if you will

Anyway im with these guys and prices have dropped sick since the mention of Haswell

You could with a Retail version; OEM not so much. OEM is a one machine version and changing the MB is a different machine.
