Solved CPU Speed, BCLK and Memory Speed: Boot failure.

Today I have done a complete dismantle and re-seat. I made it sure that there is no loose wires. The case speaker was already connected. But I never got any beep sound. About the standoffs .... the applied PINs are ....

One mounting hole of the motherboard does not have a supporting pin, BTW.

Now it is running. But I have to wait to decide upto tomorrow, when I will do another cold start. When the machine is already hot, boot ... reboot etc are not a problem.

Steve, I am really thinking that it is the RAM that is the issue, but I am wondering why it is failing when it is cold and why it is working perfectly when it is hot. I wish I could come to know it.
Though I will let memtest86+ run this night.

Arc, I really have never seen this issue. My only thoughts are, if it is the ram, There could be a hairline crack in it, that causes it to fault. When it gets hot, it expands, and basically the crack comes back together and it makes contact and does not fault. But again, I have never seen that in ram. I have seen it in capacitors on Motherboards and PSU's. That could also be on a solder point on the board too. It is usually a crack so small you can barely see it and then usually only when you know where it is. And, that is simply a guess.

If I see the issue to continue tomorrow too, I will start replacing the hardware one by one. RAM will be the first go.

No, it did not.

Then I dismantled it. Re-seated each and everything. At power on it loaded the optimized BIOS defaults and rebooted to the desktop.

i am not to smart at checking for issues, but figure throwing my thoughts out there might in turn make ya think of something else.. could it be the power supply, or maybe wires that come with the case??? like the start reset hdd led cords...

Arc did you ever build your system on the bench? (out side of the case)
Could you show us a picture of your cpu cooler and ram when installed.
My thoughts are that something might be distorting the motherboard.
My guesses are leaning towards the motherboard. It's made in layers and their are a gazillon solder joints that could be effected by distortion (flexing) or heat expansion and contraction.

I know i am very late to this and didn't bother to start from the start but any chance his ram can be running at two different speeds one rated and one underrated

this does happen when ram goes bad one shows correct speed while one is not so much speecy will be what you need to use though to see individual sticks

I came across this Steve and also another person saying faulty ram supposedly the Igpu functions or only allows booting with HDMI i am not even sure that has anything to do with this but reading what Arc said it happened when he plugged in the monitor cable

A good news, apparently. Today it booted to desktop (not directly but via windows boot manager; I checked in the BIOS that Windows boot manager was set as first boot device).

i am not to smart at checking for issues, but figure throwing my thoughts out there might in turn make ya think of something else.. could it be the power supply, or maybe wires that come with the case??? like the start reset hdd led cords...

Thank you mate, I will pay attention to this one, too. If the issue recurs, I will replace all the hardware components one by one including the power supply.

This is the third fourth time I have done it. Not experienced enough, but never made a fatal error.

Some of it was but the general situation before trying to install was the person plugged in the HDMI and it didn't want to post i actually googled it several times but that was the closet hit there was

that actually is the correct speed 1333mhz by half is 665mhz or a little less but mostly on target

Do you mean it should say 1T instead of 2T ?

It works now. Works like a charm .... it goes to the desktop within a few seconds of power on. The dismantle worked.

Thanks to all my friends, for the continuous support. Closing this thread now. but I have two more questions. Please let me know what I should do.

First, I am using the stock intel cooler fan for the CPU; plus there are two case fans. Here is the system temps once again .... not overheating IMHO.

Should I still plan for additional cooler for the CPU? If so, what about this one? Cooler Master Seidon 120V Plus ALL IN ONE CPU Liquid Water Cooling Cooler | eBay Will it support my CPU socket?

It says, no attention is required within one year. So what type of attention it may need after the first year?

Anyway, failed to understand what went wrong actually. But it is running, that made me happy.

That temp looks OK, but idling on the desktop is not what a cooler is for. See what it is when working it some. Truthfully, any cooler is better than the Intel cooler. That cooler would be fine. I'm sure you don't plan on overclocking, so most any 3rd party cooler is fine. What are you showing as your max temp?

Yes, I dont have any plan to overclock at this moment, I dont game. Going to order that cooler then.

Arc, I imagine your max temp is around 100. If the max you get is 45, then it's no problem. I wouldn't try overclocking or running prime with it though.
