CPU Temps way to high please help

I used this on my CPU which is the same model as yours, it works like a dream, even after I sold it to a friend and he has the thing run 24/7. COOLER MASTER Hyper N 520 RR-920-N520-GP 92mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with Intel 1366/1155/775 and AMD AM3 - Newegg.com

I will probably end up ordering that soon then, are you sure i will have enough space to fit it in my case tho with my 2x gfx card?

Can never be sure, but I had it installed on a micro-atx board in a shoebox case with a single video card, was an extremely tight fit but it fit. Best bet is to look at the posted measurements and measure for yourself. You don't appear to have tall RAM cards, your video card seems a good distance away, your case appears deep enough, and once the radiator is removed it looks like you're clear at every angle.
EDIT: Also buy some more fans to put in your case, one for where the radiator used to be, and two for the top of your case as I see their are none installed up there, your MB temps show it's running pretty hot from lack of air flow.

Alright will do i'm also thinking of getting 2-3 120mm case fans aswell, do you think that would be worth it seeing as i wont have water cooling anymore?

My fan shopping always went by removing all fans over 35db from my search then picking the one with the highest CFM, if there were a few within the same DB and CFM I pick the lowest RPM one, and there you've found the best fan.

I went ahead and did the search to see if their was anything new and better, but it looks like the same still sticks at the top. I love SilenX fans SilenX IXP-76-18 Case Fan - Newegg.com and at only 18db with over 90cfm you can see why. And if you're interested I prefer IC Diamond thermal paste, many say it's not worth the money for the high quality stuff but it's only $5 so I don't see what the issue is with "expensive" thermal paste. Haha it usually removes about 3C from whatever I apply it on.

The fan I just posted makes 20 more CFM while running at 600 less RPMs. And I would advise against it, but, if you must, keep an alarm set for 90C and if it ever starts creeping above that call it quits. Either way you are still shortening its life running it as it is.

IF your water cooler is going bad, I would suggest the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo. Avoid anything with less than a 120mm fan because the smaller the fan, the more RPMs it will have to turn and the more audible noise it will make. A bigger fan means less RPM to move the amount of air needed to keep things cool, resulting in less noise. In my opinion, there is no use for fans less than 120mm in modern computers(except for special circumstances).

Stick with liquid cooling. Buy the "Corsair Hydro 60 or 70" from any reputable online store e.g www.tigerdirect.com . The Hydro 60 in my system for an AMD Phenom Quad 980 CPU, Overclocked to 4.1GHz has lasted me three years with no problems. There is no "water" in these coolers, it's a special cooling-fluid which never needs to be replaced.

Not going to start a liquid vs air argument for cooling just going to say I recommend sticking with air cooling seeing as you had no use in the first place for water cooling if you don't over clock. Plus your lack of CPU air circulation because of water cooling is overheating your motherboard along with the CPU. Motherboards were not designed for water cooled CPUs and depend on the air coming off the CPU heatsink to keep them cool.

You are correct, no argument here. I was thinking more of him having a very quiet machine. I did forget to add that he would need to install an extra chassis fan. Since it's a custom built rig he should have a connector for a second chassis fan.

All is good and he's in the right place to find reliable advise.
