Hi,

today I thought that I haven't updated my WEI some time and ran the assessment. Now all of a sudden my processor's rating dropped from 7.7 to 7.6.
Is that normal that it drops for some strange reason or what might be causing this?

Thanks!

I would not worry about it. That is within the rounding accuracy. And the WEI does not mean much anyhow. It is just a number.

My Computer

Computer Manufacturer/Model Number
HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops
OS
Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8
CPU
from 1.6GHz Duo to i7

My SSD drive is usually 7.7 but maybe 2 out of 10 times it hits 7.8

I think it's just so close to the cutoff that sometimes it hits over it and sometimes it's just under it...

Still strange. I even reinstalled my OS today. It's still the same. 4.2GHz is 7.6. Used to be 7.7. Stock 3.3Ghz is 7.5. Used to be 7.7 also. CPU degrading or maybe some windows update changed the requirements or what.

That is kinda odd.... I just have a i7950 at 4ghz and it's a solid 7.7

Yours should be above that at 4.2 being a newer generation cpu...

Did anything else change? Any OC settings? Maybe even your RAM settings?

I know lots of people say WEI is just an average, nothing to stew over, but I know how it is when you know what numbers you should be getting, but aren't.... It bugs me when my SSD is at 7.7 but can be 7.8
