ok so i sent my pc to the shop and had windows 7 installed. it was an update from xp. worked great for a while then had some trouble so i reinstalled windows 7 update disk. and again it was doing great. had to reinstall the sound driver. and it was good as new. then this morning when i logged on my pc kept rebooting for no reason. eventually the problem resolved itself and now when i try to install total war im getting a crash dump blue screen on every attempt. on top of that im getting random reboots every couple of hours.(those are random.) totally stumped on what to do.

i am running a 2006 vaio digital studio desktop

EDIT: the bugcheck 124 is caused by hardware. use these for what it means and what to try. http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-2-int-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html
